Situation: We’ve managed media relations for Plarium Games for nearly a decade, and now also represent its parent company, Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. They develop social games that often involve thinking and strategy. Against a backdrop of hundreds of popular gaming titles, we needed to break through the noise, increase traction and establish greater valuation.
Strategy: Through the years, we have employed physical thematic mail promotions, played off events, and worked closely with A-list celebs to gain visibility and users. The launch of “Sparta” was one high point, with Meghan Fox as the face of the game.
Results: Through the years, we have garnered hundreds of top-tier media and gaming trade articles, with the “Sparta” launch reaching all of the major trades as well as People Magazine, TechCrunch, Forbes and more. Plarium was acquired by Aristocrat for a half-billion dollars.
