Fusion IO to IPO

Situation: Fusion IO was an unknown player in the emerging SSD storage arena. However, they had an early run on the market and were ready to begin POCs and MVPs.

Strategy: We took an educational approach to the media and digital channels, seeded the analyst community, and came out prepared with benchmarks and a well-trained executive staff. With initial success in the market and media (as well as other channels), Steve Wozniak (‘The Woz’) was recruited to the board and played an active role. We media trained him and worked closely to bring his insights to market.

Results: We achieved enormous success in the toptier media with coverage in the New York Times, WSJ, Reuters, Bloomberg, and many others. Ultimately, we took them to IPO with a multi-billion dollar market valuation.
