Situation: The satellite playing field is an expensive and tough area, requiring great capital and confronting equal risk. PanAmSat was a competitive player in the space in the early days of commercial satellite deployment. It went up against global players like IntelSat on a world stage.

Strategy: In the spirit of tapping into current events and thought leadership, we were able to leverage PanAmSat’s use by the military and broadcast news to capture images from the Iraq war. We used the application of video over satellite to demonstrate the powerful benefits of satellite and its value.

Results: The media responded passionately to our story, which was picked up by major business outlets and broadcast news channels. PanAmSat was acquired by IntelSat.
